Andy Carroll will reportedly bring an end to his 18-month stint with Liverpool in the summer.
The £35m striker has found the net on just six occasions since signing from boyhood club Newcastle United.
As a result, manager Kenny Dalglish has lost faith in the 23-year-old's ability, according to the Sunday Morning.
The report has claimed that Carroll would strongly consider a switch back to Tyneside.
However, it is unlikely that the Magpies would be able to afford Carroll's wages.
