Celtic have turned down an enquiry from Liverpool regarding the availability of Paddy McCourt.
Reds manager Kenny Dalglish was reportedly impressed by the 27-year-old's two goals during Northern Ireland's 4-0 victory over the Faroe Islands last week.
However, Celtic manager Neil Lennon has made it clear to the Premier League club that he intends to keep the player at Celtic Park, according to Sky Sports News.
McCourt joined the Bhoys from Derry City in 2008.
