Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos has reportedly told the club that he wants to join Liverpool at the end of the season.
The 21-year-old only signed for Madrid last summer and was touted as one of the brightest young prospects in Europe having won the Player of the Tournament award at the Under-21 European Championships last year.
However, he has made just two league starts for Los Blancos so far and is reportedly desperate to leave the Bernabeu in search of more regular first-team football.
The Mirror - citing Spanish outlet El Chiringuito - claims that Ceballos is keen on a move to Liverpool in order to play under manager Jurgen Klopp.
The report also claims that Ceballos tried to push through a transfer during the January window, but was denied by Madrid.
Liverpool could view Ceballos as a possible replacement for Emre Can, who looks increasingly likely to leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season.
