Borussia Dortmund are reportedly on the verge of signing PSV Eindhoven attacker Donyell Malen, who has been strongly linked with Liverpool.

Borussia Dortmund are reportedly on the verge of signing PSV Eindhoven attacker Donyell Malen.

The 22-year-old scored 27 times and contributed 10 assists in 45 appearances for PSV during the 2020-21 campaign before representing the Netherlands at Euro 2020.

Liverpool have been strongly linked with a move for the Dutchman, who spent two years with Arsenal between 2015 and 2017 before leaving in search of first-team action.

However, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Dortmund have won the race for the attacker, who will complete a €30m (£25.7m) move to the Bundesliga giants once he has undergone a medical.

Romano claims that Liverpool were interested in signing Malen in the current market but did not approach PSV with an official bid.

Dortmund have already received a £73m fee this summer following Jadon Sancho's move to Manchester United, while the club continue to fight to keep hold of Erling Braut Haaland. body check tags ::
