Fluminense midfielder Andre has admitted that he is "happy" to be linked with a move to Liverpool but insists that he is only focused on representing his current club.
The 22-year-old has been linked with a move to Anfield throughout this month as Jurgen Klopp seeks to further bolster his options in the middle of the pitch.
Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister and Wataru Endo have all joined the Reds this summer, but after seeing as many as seven midfielders depart earlier this summer, Klopp is believed to be keen to recruit at least one or two more before the transfer window closes on September 1.
Liverpool were understood to have stepped up their interest in Andre after losing out to Chelsea in the race to sign both Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia earlier this month.
However, the Daily Mail reports that Liverpool's pursuit of the Brazilian has been halted as Fluminense are unwilling to let the player leave this summer.
Although Liverpool were prepared to bid around £25m for Andre, Fluminense are refusing to part ways with the midfielder while they are still competing in the Copa Libertadores.
Fluminense, who have never won the Copa Libertadores before, are currently preparing for the first leg of their quarter-final clash with Paraguayan outfit Olimpia, with Andre expected to feature in Friday's contest.
Ahead of the match, Andre has responded to speculation over a potential move to Liverpool and has acknowledged that he is aware of offers that have been made for his services.
Speaking to Brazilian news outlet Globo Esporte, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo, Andre said: "It's obvious that it's normal to receive offers.
"Even more so with the team doing well, getting through in the Libertadores, and being near the top of the Brasileiro (Brazilian top flight).
"Not just me, but others must have received offers as well. I am happy about the offers that arrive, but my mind today is focused 100% on Fluminense."
Andre, who is under contract until December 2026, has made 148 appearances for Fluminense across all competitions since and including his senior debut in September 2020.
The deep-lying midfielder was named the Brasileiro Best Newcomer in 2021 before being selected in the Brasileiro Team of the Year in 2022. body check tags ::
