Fulham are believed to be interested in a loan move for Liverpool winger Stewart Downing.
The 28-year-old arrived on Merseyside from Aston Villa for £20m in the summer of 2011, but has failed to impress consistently during his two seasons at Anfield.
According to The Mirror, the Cottagers are weighing up a move for the England international, but the Reds are said to be unwilling to let him leave on a short-term basis.
However, Downing is believed to be available on a permanent deal should any club meet his asking price, although Martin Jol is known to be working under tight financial restraints at Craven Cottage.
Despite uncertainty shrouding his future, the former Middlesbrough trainee has expressed a willingness to stay at Liverpool next season.
