Glen Johnson has reportedly made a shock U-turn and will sign a new three-year deal with Liverpool.
The 30-year-old, who is out of contract in the summer, has been linked with Roma, Inter Milan and AC Milan in recent months as the full-back appeared to be heading for the Anfield exit door.
However, Reds manager Brendan Rodgers has been able to convince the ex-Chelsea defender that he still has a future at the club, according to the Daily Mail.
Rodgers is said to be weary of losing experienced players since the departure of Steven Gerrard to Los Angeles Galaxy was confirmed.
The Northern Irishman also believes that Johnson may be well-suited to the 3-4-2-1 formation that has been employed by Liverpool in recent weeks.
