Burnley have announced the signing of Jon Flanagan from Liverpool on a season-long loan.
The 23-year-old full-back, who came through the youth ranks at Anfield, returned to action in January following a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a serious knee injury.
In March, Flanagan penned a new four-year contract with Liverpool, but talks over a loan move to Turf Moor recently came to the surface.
Today, Burnley, who earned promotion to the Premier League in May, confirmed the deal on Twitter, making Flanagan the third new player to come through the welcome gates this summer.
Last week, The Mirror reported that Liverpool rejected a permanent deal from Burnley as the full-back remains in the club's long-term plans.
Flanagan, who has played at England Under-19 and Under-21 level, made his Liverpool debut at the age of 18.
