Liverpool's Jordan Williams has agreed a new contract with Brendan Rodgers's side that will keep the youngster at Anfield until the summer of 2017.
The highly-rated 19-year-old made his first-team debut in Liverpool's Capital One Cup win over Middlesbrough back in September.
On that night Williams, who can play in central defence or midfield, held his nerve to score from the spot in his side's 14-13 penalty shootout victory over the Teessiders.
"Made up to of signed a new two-and-half-year deal with the club today," Williams tweeted this afternoon.
Williams has also represented Wales at Under-21 level.
