Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is reportedly determined to bring Real Madrid attacker James Rodriguez to Anfield in next summer's transfer window.
The Colombia international returned to Madrid ahead of the 2019-20 campaign after a two-year loan with Bayern Munich and was a regular in the early stages of the season.
The 28-year-old has not featured for Los Blancos in La Liga since the middle of October, though, with a knee injury keeping him on the sidelines in recent weeks.
Rodriguez's contract at the Bernabeu will expire in June 2021, meanwhile, and there remains speculation surrounding the South American's future.
According to reports in Spain, Klopp is an admirer of the attacker's talents and will attempt to sign him for the European Cup holders at the end of the 2019-20 campaign.
Rodriguez has scored 37 times in 120 appearances for Madrid in all competitions.
