Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has reportedly stopped Dejan Lovren from signing a loan deal with another club.
Having found himself as fourth choice ahead of the new season, Lovren became a target for a number of foreign teams, including the likes of AC Milan and Roma.
Klopp has previously indicated that he would hold talks with the Croatia international in a bid to find a positive resolution for all parties.
However, according to The Mirror, the Liverpool boss has prevented the centre-back from leaving the Merseyside giants on a temporary basis.
The report claims that Klopp was only prepared to consider selling the 30-year-old, seeing no positives in willingly reducing his options at the back.
Lovren has less than two years remaining on his contract at Anfield.
