Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has conceded that the club's current defensive injury list may force him to enter the transfer market this month.
The Reds were already without the services of Mamadou Sakho and Martin Skrtel prior to tonight's 1-0 win over Stoke City, during which both Dejan Lovren and Kolo Toure picked up hamstring complaints.
With that in mind, the German revealed that adding cover in defence is something that he will now have to "look at".
"In this situation with no centre-backs fit I would say [defensive transfers] is something we could look at," he told reporters.
The Merseysiders have recently been linked with Schalke 04 centre-back Joel Matip.
