Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is reportedly keen to keep Dejan Lovren at the club this summer due to the Croatia international's leadership qualities.
Lovren is behind Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip when it comes to the centre-back pecking order at Anfield.
AC Milan have been strongly linked with a swoop for the 30-year-old, who played a key role in Croatia reaching the final of the 2018 World Cup.
However, according to Calciomercato, Klopp is determined to keep the central defender at the club due to his leadership qualities.
The former Dinamo Zagreb youngster has made 170 appearances for the Reds since arriving from Southampton in 2014, contributing seven goals in the process.
However, the defender only made 18 appearances during the 2018-19 campaign, with just 13 of those coming in the Premier League.
