Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman has urged his club to secure moves for Liverpool's Georginio Wijnaldum and Manchester City's Eric Garcia during the January transfer window.
The Catalan giants were linked with the Premier League duo over the summer but were unable to agree deals with either Liverpool or City despite the fact that both players will be out of contract next June.
Koeman has confirmed that he wants Wijnaldum to arrive at Camp Nou, while the Dutchman has also hinted that the La Liga giants will be making another attempt to sign Garcia at the start of 2021.
"Our interest for Wijnaldum is strong. I wanted to bring him here in the summer because he has the ability to make fantastic runs from midfield and turn up in the box at the right moments," The Mirror quotes Koeman as saying.
"I am convinced he can really add something to the team. But the financial situation of Barcelona was known at his club.
"There is a chance for sure that we are going to have another go for Garcia. But right now I cannot know how the finances of the club are in January, so I have to wait and see."
Koeman, who replaced Quique Setien as Barca boss over the summer, has also reiterated his desire to bring Lyon attacker Memphis Depay to the club as soon as possible.
