Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe has revealed that he and his representatives "talked a little bit" with Liverpool regarding a potential summer transfer.
After a drawn-out saga, it was revealed on Saturday that Mbappe had shunned a move to Real Madrid to sign a new three-year contract at Parc des Princes.
Throughout the season, speculation suggested that it was a two-horse race for the World Cup winner's signature, something which largely appears to be the case given comments made by the 23-year-old in recent days.
However, Mbappe has acknowledged that there was interest from Premier League outfit Liverpool, even if they were never viewed as a likely destination.
Speaking to The Telegraph, the Frenchman said: "We talked a little bit, but not too much. We talked a little bit.
"I talked to Liverpool because it's the favourite club of my mum, my mum loves Liverpool. I don't know why, you will have to ask her.
"It's a good club and we met them five years ago. When I was in Monaco I met them. It's a big club."
Last week, it was claimed that Mbappe's representatives had reached out to Liverpool to inform the Merseyside club that they would not be signing the attacker. body check tags ::
