Ezequiel Lavezzi has reportedly turned down Paris Saint-Germain's new contract offer, sparking suggestions that Liverpool are now in pole position to sign the forward.
The 29-year-old is said to have held talks with the Ligue 1 giants regarding fresh terms, despite failing to cement a regular spot in the team.
However, according to The Metro, reports have claimed that PSG are now willing to sell Lavezzi after his agent Alejandro Mazzoni rejected the new deal.
Liverpool, who have sealed eight new signings this summer already, were rumoured to be preparing an £18m bid for the forward.
