Liverpool have reportedly agreed an £8m deal to sign Swedish midfielder Rasmus Elm from AZ Alkmaar.
The one-time Everton target has blasted 10 goals in 17 games in the Eredivisie this season, convincing Kenny Dalglish to make his move.
According to The Sun, the Scot made the trip to Holland to watch the 24-year-old play against Feyenoord yesterday.
However, Dalglish was left frustrated as Elm was absent due to his wife suddenly going into labour.
Despite the wasted journey, it has been reported that Elm will move to Anfield on a five-year contract worth a £40,000 a week.
