Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Las Palmas attacker Alberto Moleiro.
The Reds' incoming sporting director Richard Hughes is set to lead the club's recruitment strategy after being appointed by Fenway Sports Group chief executive Michael Edwards.
Hughes and Edwards are preparing to oversee a new era at Anfield, with Arne Slot widely expected to replace Jurgen Klopp at the end of the season.
Liverpool are likely to strengthen their squad in a number of areas, and they are said to be keen to bring in attacking reinforcements.
Liverpool lining up Moleiro move
According to AS, the Reds are lining up a bid for Moleiro after spending several months working on a potential move.
The 20-year-old has a €60m (£51.5m) release clause in his Las Palmas contract, which is set to run until the summer of 2026.
However, the report claims that Liverpool could secure Moleiro in a cut-price deal, with Las Palmas willing to entertain offers in the region of €25m (£21.5m).
Inter Milan could rival Liverpool for Moleiro's signature, while there is also thought to be interest from Real Betis and Villarreal.
Who is Las Palmas' highly-rated youngster?
Moleiro rose through the youth ranks at the Spanish side, before making his senior debut as a 17-year-old in August 2021.
The youngster provided eight assists in 40 league appearances last season to help Las Palmas win promotion to the top flight.
Moleiro has continued to be a regular fixture in Garcia Pimienta's side this season, scoring two goals and providing three in 24 La Liga appearances.
Having impressed at club level, Moleiro has been rewarded with the chance to represent the Spain Under-21 team on four occasions.
Moleiro has often been utilised as a left winger this season, but he is capable of playing on the opposite flank as well as an attacking midfielder. body check tags ::
