Liverpool have reportedly tabled a £30m offer for Gremio striker Luan, just three days before the end of the summer transfer window.
Manager Jurgen Klopp recently suggested that there are likely to be more outgoings than arrivals at Anfield this week, but has not ruled out bringing new faces into the squad.
According to Brazilian radio station Futebol da Gaucha, the Merseyside outfit have moved for Luan, who has scored 38 goals since making his debut for Gremio in 2014.
Should Liverpool be successful in their rumoured pursuit of the 23-year-old Brazilian, it could spell doubt for Daniel Sturridge's future.
The England international had to watch on as Divock Origi was brought off the bench ahead of him in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.
Sturridge eventually made an appearance, but it was not until the 88th minute of the match.
