Liverpool have reportedly moved to the brink of sealing a deal for Ajax youngster Ki-Jana Hoever.
While Liverpool have money to spend on their first-team squad this summer, it appears that focus is also being placed on the academy with an arrival expected from the Netherlands.
According to the Liverpool Echo, Hoever has been training on Merseyside over the past week and the 16-year-old has impressed enough to earn a contract.
The Netherlands Under-16 international - who can play at right-back or centre-back - will represent the club's Under-18 squad should a deal be made official.
Last season, Hoever made a total of 13 outings in the U17 Eredivisie.
