Barcelona defender Martin Montoya is close to agreeing a move to Premier League side Liverpool, according to reports.
The 24-year-old right-back has been linked with a move to Anfield in recent weeks as Reds boss Brendan Rodgers searches for a replacement for the departing Glen Johnson.
Liverpool have now lodged a bid of £7.2m for the Spaniard, who has found first-team opportunities limited at Camp Nou this season, reports The Metro.
Montoya is a product of Barcelona's La Masia academy, and made his debut for the side in 2011.
