Porto goalkeeper Iker Casillas has reportedly emerged as a potential January target for Liverpool.
Casillas - who is now 36 years of age - remains the first-choice stopper at the Portuguese giants, but it appears that a switch to the Premier League is a possibility at the start of 2018.
According to El Pais, Porto are prepared to part ways with the veteran stopper in order to reduce their wage bill, and talk of an exit has allegedly alerted Liverpool.
The Merseyside club are not short of options between the sticks, but neither Simon Mignolet nor Loris Karius have established themselves as reliable options and Danny Ward remains underused by boss Jurgen Klopp.
Casillas is in the latter stages of a trophy-laden career, but the Real Madrid legend may be attracted to any opportunity to end his playing days in England.
