Liverpool and Everton are understood to be interested in signing Charlton Athletic centre-back Ezri Konsa.
The 20-year-old, who featured in the England Under-20 side that won the World Cup last summer, has been hailed by Charlton coach Karl Robinson as one of the country's hottest defensive prospects.
The Mirror reports that the Addicks have placed a £5m price tag on the defender, with both Merseyside outfits allegedly keen on his services.
Liverpool and Everton, who both have links with the League One side, have signed Reds defender Joe Gomez and the Toffees' Ademola Lookman from the club in recent seasons.
Robinson admitted last month that he expected Konsa to depart in January.
