Liverpool are reportedly considering including Daniel Sturridge as a makeweight in any offer for Sevilla midfielder Steven N'Zonzi.
Sturridge is understood to be considering his Liverpool future due to a lack of first-team football as he attempts to secure a place in the England squad for next summer's World Cup in Russia.
The 28-year-old has started just five games across all competitions this season and is worried that he might fall out of Gareth Southgate's plans unless he is playing more regularly over the second half of the season.
El Gol reports that Sevilla could offer a potential escape route should Sturridge be included as part of a player-plus-cash deal for N'Zonzi.
N'Zonzi has impressed for Sevilla since joining the club from Stoke City in 2015 and was part of the team that beat Liverpool in the 2016 Europa League final.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is eager to add more defensive stability to his side in the January window, and reportedly sees N'Zonzi as one of the top targets to shore up his midfield.
