A number of clubs are reportedly prepared to challenge Liverpool to secure the services of Iago Aspas this summer.
Recent reports had claimed that the Reds were close to signing the striker after a fee had been agreed between themselves and Celta Vigo.
However, teams in Germany and Italy, as well as Portuguese outfit Benfica, are strongly interested in recruiting the 25-year-old, according to The Mirror.
The report did claim, though, that Aspas's preferred destination would be Liverpool.
