Liverpool are reportedly prepared to pull out all the stops to agree a new contract with Mohamed Salah.

The Egypt international has made over 350 competitive appearances since joining Liverpool from Roma in the summer of 2017.

Salah may have enjoyed success in his seven-year stay at Anfield, but it is currently unclear whether he will still be with the Reds beyond the end of next summer.

The forward is one of three key players, along with Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold, who have entered the final 12 months of their Liverpool contract.

Salah admitted after the recent 3-0 win over Manchester United that the 2024-25 campaign could be his final season as a Liverpool player.

Liverpool fighting to renew Salah contract

The 32-year-old continues to be linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League after Liverpool rejected a £150m bid from Al-Ittihad in the summer of 2023.

Despite attracting interest from Saudi Arabia, Salah is believed to be keen to extend his successful stay with Liverpool.

According to Football Insider, Liverpool are willing to do 'everything that they can' to reach an agreement with Salah over a new deal.

The report claims that the Reds hierarchy will meet with Salah soon to discuss his plans ahead of potential contract negotiations.

Salah is likely to demand a 'bumper' contract to continue his Liverpool career and there is said to be a willingness from both parties for a new contract to be agreed in the near future.

Salah remains key part of Liverpool

Liverpool are evidently reluctant to part ways with Salah despite the fact that he will be 33 by the time his current deal expires.

Salah may now be in his thirties but his quality is showing no signs of diminishing, and he still remains one of the best players in the Premier League.

The attacker has made an impressive start to the 2024-25 campaign, having scored in each of Liverpool's three matches this season.

Salah has also registered three assists in those three games, reinforcing the fact that he is still an important part of the Liverpool squad.

Having made a perfect start to the new season, the Reds will attempt to extend their 100% record in a home game against Nottingham Forest after the international break. body check tags ::
