Liverpool have reportedly outlined a four-man shortlist of players to replace Luis Diaz after his injury setback.

The Colombian winger travelled back to the UK after complaining of discomfort in his knee during the club's training camp in Dubai and has since undergone surgery and is expected to be out for three months.

Spanish outlet Fichajes lists four names that Jurgen Klopp's side are looking at to replace the 25-year-old.

The outlet reports that Cody Gakpo, Moussa Diaby, Mykhaylo Mudryk and Marcus Thuram are the players identified by the club as potential replacements for Diaz.

The loss of the former Porto man leaves Liverpool with just Darwin Nunez, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino as senior attacking options as Diogo Jota is also sidelined.

The Reds sit sixth in the Premier League, seven points off Tottenham Hotspur in fourth place, albeit with a game in hand. body check tags ::
