Liverpool reportedly have no intention of letting Divock Origi leave the club in the January transfer window.
The 26-year-old has entered the final six months of his Anfield deal, although an extension can be triggered based on how many Premier League starts that he makes this term.
However, with Origi still struggling to break into Jurgen Klopp's first XI, the Belgium international is widely expected to seek pastures new in 2022.
Three Italian clubs are reportedly in talks with Origi's representatives over a possible January deal, but the Liverpool Echo reports that the Reds are highly unlikely to sanction a sale this month.
Klopp's ranks have been depleted by the absences of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane during the Africa Cup of Nations, and the report adds that Origi has not shown a desire to leave in January either.
Origi boasts five goals and two assists from 10 appearances in all competitions this season, but he has only made three substitute appearances in the Premier League.
The former Lille man has notched up a total of 40 goals and 16 assists in 167 games for the Reds since arriving in the summer of 2014. body check tags ::
