Liverpool will reportedly push ahead with a move for Kyriakos Papadopoulos this summer, having been told that the Schalke 04 defender is ready to jump ship.
The 23-year-old, who has spent this season on loan at fellow Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen, is said to have been a target for the Merseyside outfit for the past two years.
A report in The Metro suggests that Liverpool have now been given the green light to begin negotiations with the Greece international, who is available for a fee in the region of £4.4m.
Papadopoulos is also wanted by Leverkusen on a permanent deal, although he is rumoured to prefer a move to a new league which opens the door for Brendan Rodgers to make his move.
