Liverpool are understood to be keen on signing Nathan Redmond after the youngster failed to agree a new deal with Birmingham City.
The 18-year-old, whose current contract ends in summer 2014, has grown frustrated with the Blues' reluctance to offer him renewed terms.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has now been alerted about the situation and could soon make an offer for the teenager, according to The Telegraph.
Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur are also thought to be interested in the England Under-19 international.
