Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama has reportedly emerged as a summer transfer target for Liverpool.
Wanyama has spent the last 19 months in North London, making 60 appearances in all competitions, but the Kenyan has lost his place in the side after missing the majority of the first half of the campaign with a knee injury.
The 26-year-old continues to be used by boss Mauricio Pochettino but according to the Daily Mail, Liverpool will look to bring in the player as a replacement for Emre Can.
Liverpool are likely to watch Can leave for Juventus on a free transfer, and it has resulted in Jurgen Klopp needing to find a midfielder with similar attributes to the German international.
However, Spurs remain in a strong position regarding Wanyama, whose contract does not expire until 2021.
