Liverpool are reportedly keeping a close eye on the developments surrounding Real Madrid defender Nacho.

The 31-year-old has again been a regular for Los Blancos during the 2020-21 campaign, making 20 appearances in all competitions, while he has played the full 90 minutes in each of his side's last eight La Liga matches.

Nacho's contract at the Bernabeu is due to expire in June 2022, though, and there is currently speculation surrounding the Spaniard's future at the club.

According to AS, the versatile defender wants to stay at 'the club of his life', while Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane is also keen to keep him in the capital.

However, the report claims that Liverpool are tracking the Spain international with the view to potentially making a move at the end of the season.

Juventus and Roma have also been credited with an interest in a player who has won two La Liga titles and four Champions League crowns during his time at the Bernabeu.
