Liverpool allegedly remain interested in signing Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele during the next transfer window.

Despite enduring a mixed period at Camp Nou, the 23-year-old has contributed six goals and four assists in La Liga and the Champions League this season.

The France international has just under 16 months remaining on his contract, putting Barcelona in a position where they will have to consider a sale during the summer.

Speaking on the Here We Go Podcast, journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Liverpool are contemplating whether to make an approach for the player.

Barcelona are said to be keen to agree fresh terms with Dembele, aware that they can ill-afford to take another significant hit during a bleak financial period for the club.

Earlier this year, it was suggested that the attacker was keen to extend his stay with the La Liga side.
