Liverpool and Lazio are reportedly in 'intense negotiations' to agree a deal for the transfer of Marko Grujic.
The Serbian international, who is in Russia for the World Cup, was loaned out to Cardiff City for the latter part of last season after falling out of favour with his parent club.
According to TuttoMercatoweb, both parties want negotiations to be finished before Serbia's opening game against Costa Rica on Sunday.
Lazio, who are reportedly keen to add Grujic to their midfield, believe that they can secure a deal in the region of €6m (£5.2m) for the 22-year-old.
Grujic made three substitute appearances for the Reds last season, before scoring one goal in 13 games as Cardiff achieved promotion back to the top flight.
