Liverpool leading race to sign Rennes winger Jeremy Doku?

:Headline: Liverpool leading race to sign Rennes winger Jeremy Doku?:
Rennes winger Jeremy Doku reportedly emerges as a realistic transfer target for Liverpool ahead of 2022.

Liverpool are allegedly well placed to secure a deal for Rennes winger Jeremy Doku during 2022.

While the Merseyside giants opted to make just one high-profile addition during the summer transfer window, Jurgen Klopp may need to freshen up his squad next year.

The likes of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino all have less than two years remaining on their contracts, leaving the German to consider alternative options.

According to RTL Sport, the Premier League outfit are in a good position to sign Belgium international Doku.

Liverpool have been long-term admirers of the 19-year-old, despite just two goals and four assists coming from his 41 appearances in all competitions.

Klopp may make an initial approach for the prospect during the January window with the likes of Salah and Mane expected to represent their country at the Africa Cup of Nations.
