Liverpool have reportedly made contact with Rodrigo De Paul's agent to discuss a potential move for the Udinese midfielder during this summer's transfer window.

The Reds are expected to be in the market for at least one new midfielder in the upcoming market, with Georginio Wijnaldum likely to leave the club on a free transfer.

According to FC Inter News, Jurgen Klopp's side have established contact with De Paul's agent Augustin Jimenez to register their interest ahead of the summer window.

The report claims that the Argentina international is expected to switch clubs at the end of the season, but Liverpool will have strong competition from Inter Milan for his signature.

De Paul has again been in impressive form for Udinese during the 2020-21 campaign, scoring nine times and registering 10 assists in 35 appearances in all competitions.

The South American - said to be valued in the region of €50m (£43.7m) - has a contract at Stadio Friuli until June 2024. body check tags ::
