Liverpool have reportedly placed a €75m (£63.8m) asking price on Luis Diaz amid suggestions that Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are keen on his signature.

The 27-year-old joined the Reds from Porto in January 2022, and he has represented the club on 98 occasions in all competitions, scoring 24 goals and registering 13 assists in the process.

There is currently speculation surrounding the Colombia international's future, with a number of clubs believed to be keen on his services.

Barcelona are believed to be one of those sides, while PSG are in the market for a Kylian Mbappe replacement and are also thought to be keen.

According to AS, Liverpool have made it clear that Diaz will not be allowed to leave Anfield during this summer's transfer window for under €75m (£63.8m).

Liverpool 'want at least €75m (£63.8m) for Diaz'

Barcelona are thought to be have identified Diaz as their primary target, but the Catalan outfit will find it difficult to sign him for that price due to their well-documented financial issues.

PSG, on the other hand, do have money to spend, as although they will not receive a transfer fee for Mbappe, the club will make significant savings in terms of wages.

Last month, Diaz appeared to rule out a summer departure, claiming that he was "very happy" at Liverpool.

"I have grown a lot. From the beginning of my career to today, I feel that with the passage of days, of years, living each experience in each different team, coming to this great club that is Liverpool, leaves you with a lot of learnings," the Liverpool Echo quoted the South American as saying at the time.

Barcelona, PSG allegedly lead the race for Diaz

"You learn more and more to be a professional, to be a better person, to be a good team-mate and a good guy. The truth is that I am very happy to be here. Great years are coming for the club, I have no doubt about that.

"Personally, I will always try to do my best, always try to give 100%, to always stand out on the field, which is what I came [here] to do. I'm always grateful to God for every opportunity."

Diaz was again a vital player for Liverpool during the 2023-24 campaign, making 51 appearances in all competitions, scoring 13 goals and registering five assists in the process.

The forward scored eight goals and registered five assists in 37 Premier League matches, while he struck three times in seven outings in the Europa League.

Liverpool will make changes to their squad this summer under the leadership of Arne Slot, who has replaced Jurgen Klopp as head coach of the 19-time English champions. body check tags ::
