Liverpool have moved to offer a new contract to midfielder James Milner.
Despite being a key member of the first-team squad at Anfield, Milner has entered the final year of his deal with the Merseyside giants.
However, manager Jurgen Klopp has indicated that the two parties are in constant dialogue, suggesting that there is a desire to agree terms in the coming weeks.
At a press conference on Friday, Klopp told reporters: "Nobody is nervous, we are in talks constantly. It is really early and we have time to do things with all the players, the relationship is very trustful.
"We don't hide information from them, they know always about the situation."
Milner has made a total of 185 appearances in all competitions since leaving Manchester City for Liverpool in 2015.
