Liverpool are reportedly considering whether to allow Georginio Wijnaldum to leave on a free transfer in 2021.
Since making the switch to Anfield in 2016, Wijnaldum has established himself as a key man at the Merseyside giants, contributing 16 goals from 166 appearances in all competitions.
With just 18 months remaining on the Dutchman's contract, Liverpool find themselves having to decide whether to try to extend the stay of the 29-year-old.
However, according to The Athletic, the Premier League leaders have not ruled out the possibility of allowing Wijnaldum to become a free agent at the end of the next campaign.
While Liverpool are open to agreeing fresh terms with the playmaker, it is claimed that they already feel they have got value for money out of the former Newcastle United man.
Should no new deal be agreed before the summer, Liverpool will almost certainly receive offers for Wijnaldum's signature.
