Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is planning to swoop for two of Ajax's emerging talents at the end of the season, according to a report.
CaughtOffside claims that the Reds have targeted summer moves for 22-year-old defender Joel Veltman and attacking midfielder Davy Klaassen, 21, as the Anfield club prepare for a possible tilt at the Champions League.
However, it is believed that Liverpool face competition from Manchester United for Veltman, who has been scouted by the Red Devils.
Rodgers is said to be considering a move for the defender after growing increasingly concerned with the performances of both Daniel Agger and Martin Skrtel, with the possibility that one of his current centre-backs may leave the club in the summer.
Liverpool travel to Old Trafford on Sunday to face Manchester United in the Premier League.
