Barcelona have told Liverpool that they must hand over £45m if they are to sign defender Aleix Vidal this summer, according to a report.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is thought to be in the market for a new full-back as he aims to put together a title-winning squad for next season.
Any hopes Liverpool have of landing Vidal could be dashed, however, as Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo reports that Barcelona will not sell unless a big-money offer is placed on the table.
Barca are instead hoping to keep hold of the 26-year-old, who joined on a five-year deal from Sevilla in 2015, with Dani Alves expected to depart for Juventus in the coming weeks.
Vidal has struggled to make an impression following his £17m move almost one year ago, making just nine appearances since the club's transfer ban was lifted in January, but he has already been linked with numerous clubs this summer.
