Liverpool have reportedly refused to confirm or deny reports that Jordan Henderson has agreed a new five-year contract at the club.
The futures of the Reds' current crop of talent have come under scrutiny following Raheem Sterling's decision to delay contract negotiations until the summer.
Henderson was recently reported to have turned down a deal worth £80,000 a week, but according to fresh reports, the midfielder is expected to sign a £100,000-a-week deal in the next few days.
Liverpool have been approached about the new claims, but Sky Sports News reports that the Merseyside outfit have refused to comment on the stories regarding Henderson's future.
The England international has been widely tipped to take the captain's armband next season in the absence of Steven Gerrard, who will leave the club for MLS side Los Angeles Galaxy in the summer.
