Liverpool are thought to have sent scouts to watch Montpellier attacking midfielder Remy Cabella.
The 21-year-old has helped his side challenge at the top of the Ligue 1 table this season.
The Merseysiders view the Frenchman as someone who could provide a much-needed creativity to their play, according to caughtoffside.com.
Cabella has scored three goals in 16 appearances for Montpellier this season.
