Liverpool have confirmed the arrival of goalkeeper Simon Mignolet from Sunderland on a "long-term" deal.
The 25-year-old will become the first Belgian to play for Liverpool and manager Brendan Rodgers said that he will have an "opportunity" despite possible competition from current number one Pepe Reina.
"I am delighted that we have been able to sign one of the top goalkeepers in the Barclays Premier League," Rodgers told the club's website.
"Simon will join a club that will give him an opportunity to demonstrate and improve his huge talent."
Mignolet made 90 appearances for the Black Cats since joining in 2010.
