Liverpool are reportedly still interested in signing Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram.
The Reds were heavily linked with the Frenchman in the summer following the departures of Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and James Milner.
However, a transfer failed to materialise as Liverpool opted to bolster their midfield with the additions of Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch and Wataru Endo.
Although the Reds have a number of central midfield options, they continue to keep tabs on potential targets for future transfer windows.
According to Fichajes, Liverpool retain an interest in Nice's Thuram, who is under contract until the summer of 2025.
The report claims that the Merseyside club are keen to replenish their squad with promising young talents and Thuram appears to fit the bill.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is believed to be an admirer of the 22-year-old, as he looks to bring in players that can help the club compete for major honours.
With Thuram now in the final two years of his deal, there is a belief that a fee in the region of €45m (£38.3m) could be enough to prise him away from the Ligue 1 club.
A recent report claimed that Spanish giants Real Madrid were also considering a future move for the France international.
Although clubs continue continuing to monitor the player's situation, he is likely to remain with the French side until the end of the season.
Nice would be reluctant to part ways with Thuram midway through the season, with Francesco Farioli's side faring well in Ligue 1 this term.
Having picked up 29 points from 14 league games this season, Nice are currently sitting in second place and four points adrift of leaders Paris Saint-Germain.
Thuram has been a regular fixture in Farioli's lineup this term, having started 11 of his 12 appearances in the top flight.
The midfielder has contributed eight goals and 11 assists in 150 games since joining Nice from Monaco in the summer of 2019. body check tags ::
