Liverpool are reportedly preparing to land Southampton playmaker Adam Lallana before the World Cup gets underway.
The Reds have been repeatedly linked with the Saints midfielder, and will make their move before next month's tournament in Brazil in an effort to keep him away from other potential suitors, according to Sky Sports News.
Lallana was voted the Saints' Player of the Season in a campaign that has seen him score nine goals, although the South Coast club have told the news outlet that no official bid has been received from Brendan Rodgers's side.
The attacking midfielder, who turns 26 on Saturday, is expected to be part of Roy Hodgson's England squad, which is announced on Monday.
