Liverpool reportedly intend to offer Adam Lallana a new contract before the end of the year.
The England international signed for the Reds from Southampton for a fee thought to be in the region of £25m in the summer of 2014.
The midfielder has impressed under manager Jurgen Klopp this season having scored two goals in four Premier League games, which is just two fewer than he scored in the whole of the 2015-16 campaign in the top flight.
According to The Express, Liverpool aim to hold talks with Lallana's representative about extending his deal before the year is out.
The 28-year-old, who scored his first England goal almost a fortnight ago, will come to the end of his current contract in 2019.
