Liverpool will reportedly push Xherdan Shaqiri towards a move to Real Betis if they are given the chance to sign Iker Muniain from Athletic Bilbao.
The Reds are said to be keen on landing Muniain in the January transfer window to bolster their forward line for the second half of the season.
Athletic could cash in on the 25-year-old as his contract is due to expire at the end of the season, and El Gol Digital suggests that Liverpool will look to offload Shaqiri at the same time.
Shaqiri has started four games for Liverpool since joining from Stoke City in the summer, chipping in with one goal - coming in the 4-1 win over Cardiff City last weekend.
Should the Switzerland international become available, Betis are supposedly at the front of the queue to sign him.
