Liverpool are reportedly contemplating a move for Valencia midfielder Carlos Soler in the summer of 2022.
The 24-year-old was a shining light in an otherwise disappointing 2020-21 season for Valencia last term, registering 11 goals and eight assists from 32 appearances in La Liga.
Soler has also started the current campaign brightly with three goals in his side's opening three games, but his deal with Jose Bordalas's side is due to expire in 2023.
Liverpool failed to sign a replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum in the most recent transfer window, but Fichajes claims that Jurgen Klopp has now identified Soler as an ideal signing next year.
The report adds that a possible contract renewal for Soler at Valencia is still uncertain, and the Spanish side could therefore be pressured into a sale before he enters the final year of his deal.
Soler made his debut for Spain in Thursday's 2-1 World Cup Qualifying defeat to Sweden and has totalled 188 appearances for Valencia since graduating from their youth academy, scoring 26 goals and assisting 26 more.
