Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

The 26-year-old has been in impressive form for his Italian club at the start of the 2021-22 Serie A campaign, scoring three goals and contributing two assists in eight appearances.

Milinkovic-Savic has a contract with Lazio until June 2024, but there remains speculation surrounding his future, with Real Madrid thought to be long-term admirers.

According to Calciomercato, Liverpool are weighing up a move for the Serbia international, as the Reds look to sign a replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum, who left on a free transfer over the summer.

The report claims that Juventus are also admirers of Milinkovic-Savic - thought to be valued at €70m (£59m) by Maurizio Sarri's side - and could launch a move in 2022.

The Serbian has scored 50 goals and registered 40 assists in 257 appearances for his current club since making the move from Genk in 2015.
